摘　　要：在今天,“和谐”二字被人们广泛应用,“和谐”正在成为全社会的共识。和谐是生命发展的最高目的,是人类社会的最高审美理想,表现为个体生命形式与心灵的统一,感性与理性、合规律(真)与合目的(善)的统一,自然与社会、个体生命与集体、民族、国家生命的统一。＇Harmoniousness＇ is widely accepted and used by Chinese people. But what does the word mean？ Or what features the word？ In this paper, these are discussed in the philosophic and aesthetic perspectives. It is proved that ＇ harmoniousness＇ is not only the goal for the development of beings, but also the loftiest ideal of society. The word shows these are integrated into different unities such as life and spirit, sense andsensitivity, the real and the good, nature and society, individual and collectives.
