摘　　要：美国英语是英语的一种变体。本文从历史的角度,通过对英国英语和美国英语在语音、词汇和语法上的比较研究,揭示了美国英语守旧性的客观存在。American English is a kind of variation of English language. Based on history, this article, by a comparative research in pronunciation, vocabulary and granunar of British English and American English, reveals that the conservatism of American English is an objective fact.
