摘　　要：基于系统功能语法有关语法隐喻的理论,研究概念隐喻实现科技英语语篇语体特征的功能和途径,通过举例分析在科技英语语篇的概念隐喻中,过程、功能成分和词汇语法层面发生的转换,及其对实现科技语篇的正式性、简洁性和客观性等语体特征所产生的效果。旨在揭示科技语篇中概念隐喻的工作机理和功能,认清隐喻后语句的深层语义结构和内涵,提高科技英语语篇的写作、解读和翻译质量。Based on the theory of grammatical metaphor in Systemic Functional Grammar, this article studies the functions of ideational metaphor in realizing the genre characteristics of the scientific texts in English. And it then goes on to analyze through examples the transferences at the levels of process, functional element and lexical grammar, and the effect of the transferences upon the realization of the genre characteristics of scientific texts in English, such as formal style, conciseness and objectiveness. And the purpose is to show the working mechanism and functions of the ideational metaphor, understand the underlying meaning of the metaphorical sentences and improve the quality of writing, reading and translation of the scientific texts in English.
