摘  要:通过分析美国高等教育中北区域认证委员会“学习质量改进项目”认证方式中的评估指标,同时,比较中国普通院校评估所使用的评估指标,提出问题。高校评估的重要目的是通过评估促使高校内部质量保证体系的建立。Through the analysis of the criteria used in the Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP), an alternative approach to the accreditation process in the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association (HLC/NCA) in the U. S. , and through the comparison of the standards used in the Evaluation Standards of Teaching Quality in Undergraduate Programs in higher education institutions in China, this paper examines some of the issues confronted in terms of alignment between such evaluation standards and their implementation. Based on such analyses and comparison, it is strongly suggested that the primary purpose of evaluation of teaching quality (or student learning) should be the establishment of a quality assurance system within a higher education institution, hence leading to a culture of quality.
