摘　　要：用裂变径迹法对临夏盆地王家山、东乡毛沟剖面红层中同生石膏及次生石膏矿物作了年龄测定，测定年龄为６．７９—２１．３９Ｍａ，推断其开始形成时代为中新世早期。The fission track method has been used to determine the ages of the penecontemporary and secondary gypsums in the red beds of the sections at Wangjiashan and Dongxiang in the Linxia Basin. The ages ranging from 6.79 to 21.39Ma indicate that the starting age of the Cenozoic red beds is the early Miocene.
