摘 要:中国素称礼仪之邦,一切礼仪都滥觞于饮食,所有礼仪都包含着禁忌因素,而筷子是中国最具代表性的食具,在筷子的使用上产生了形形色色的禁忌,这些禁忌有的是出于对神灵的恐惧,有的是为了尊重他人,有的则是维持主人的体面,有的是为了保持卫生,有的是缘于加强自身的修养,其动因不一而足,而归根结底则是对饮食文明的维护。China is always called a country famous for its etiquettes. All etiquettes derive from diet, containing taboo factors. As one of the most representative food utensils, chopsticks have taboos of every deseription in their use. Some of them come from the religious terrors, some aim to show respect for other people, some are for the defense of host dignity and the maintenance of sanitation. Also, some of the taboos are formed with the goal of strengthening self-accomplishments. The motives for the production of these taboos could be said to be various, but in the final analysis the taboos are produced with the aim to safeguard human dietary civilization.
