摘　　要：外位结构是英语中一项非常重要的修辞手段,在现代英语中应用日益频繁。本文介绍了英语外位结构的概念、分类、特点以及在汉英翻译中的具体应用,旨在帮助我们深化认识英语外位结构的本质,学会在汉英翻译中正确运用这一结构,从而简化汉译英的难度,提高英语译文的质量。Separate construction, a common linguistic phenomenon in English,has been used more and more frequently. This paper is designed to provide a brief introduction to the characteristics of separate construction and its application in Chinese-English translation as well.
