摘 要:从唐代到1919年“官话和合译本”问世期间,圣经汉译的主体以来华西方传教士为主。他们在探索圣经汉译方法过程中提出了“本文本意”、“译者的双重责任”、“译者易也”、“非字面翻译”、“文学品味”等翻译思想。这些翻译思想理应成为中国翻译理论的一部分。From the Tang Dynasty when the Bible was introduced into China to 1919 when the Mandarin Union version was published, Chinese Bible translations were mostly prepared by western translators who came to China as missionaries. These foreign translators, based on their practice of rendering the Bible into Chinese, advanced such ideas as "adherence to the original meaning", "a translator's two-fold duty", "translation involving changes", "nonliteral translation" and "literary beauty". These translation ideas should be accepted as part of the heritage of Chinese translation theories.
