摘　　要：提出一种基于Canny边缘算子的车牌图像二值化方法。该方法综合考虑了边缘信息和灰度信息,根据与边缘像素点相邻的像素点的灰度值变化特点,得到图像的高、低阈值,综合利用高、低阈值对原灰度图像进行二值化。实验表明,此方法对于车牌图像的二值化处理有令人满意的效果。This paper proposes binarization algorithm based on Cannys operator after analyzing the principle of binarization operation and current technologies in detail. According to the change characteristic of the grayscale of the pixels which border the edges of the Canny edge im- age,the algorithm generates a high threshold and a low threshold.The original image is binarized using the threshold which is based on two thresholds.The result of experiments shows that the algorithm can obtain ideal result and can be applied to the images which have dif- ferent qualities.
