摘 要:长期以采由于“文化启蒙主义”一元论价值观的影响,学界在论及苏曼殊的翻译成就时,一贯强调其西方浪漫主义诗歌翻译,忽略了他对东方印度文化-文学的译介之功。作为深究内典的翻译家,苏曼殊的印度文学译介填补了近现代翻译史上的诸多空白。他在译介印度文化时对“必关正教”的批评、对纯文学审美价值的关注,体现了他对东方文明的偏爱和对中西文化交流的审慎反思,更表现了苏曼殊文学审美现代意识的初步觉醒。这在中国文化-文学现代转型之初都是难能可贵的。During the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China there appeared an upsurge in foreign culture-literature. When discussing Su Manshu's achievements in translation, the academic circle, under the influence of westerncentrism,has consistently emphasized his translation of western romantic poetry but neglected that of Indian literature. As a man of letters showing a deep understanding of Buddhist philosophy, Su Manshu filled in a gap in the fields of translation and introduction of Indian literature in modern Chinese translation history. In the course of translation, he attached special importance to the aesthetic value of the original, indicating his initial awakening of modern aesthetic consciousness of literature.
