摘  要:通过对Marrakech一文中的时态语篇特征分析,指出时态的形式存在于句子层面,但时态的意义和功能却是语篇性质的;时态体系的选择和布局是作者谋篇布局策略的一部分;时态在语篇中是成体系的,不同的时态会在不同体裁的语篇中体现出不同的功能,具有明显的语篇特征。并对英语时态教学改革提出了针对性建议:时态的教与学应该由初级向高级阶段从以句子为中心向以语篇为中心过渡来逐渐对时态体系及其语篇功能进行分析。This article analyses the discourse features of English tenses and proposes that tense forms are sentential but the meaning and functions of tenses are discourse-based; the choice and distribution of tense are integrated to writers' global distributive strategies; they are systematic and their diversity of functions are well matched with that of different genres, presenting clear discourse features. In conclusion, the article discusses some pedagogical implications of the study: the teaching and practice of English tenses should move from sentence- oriented to discourse-oriented in different stages with hierarchical aims from the teaching and learning of forms to the analysis of systematic functions of tenses.
