摘  要:Articles in this special issue offers comments to the status quo of contemporary philosophical studies in China from various perspectives, focusing on problems in this field of study. Professor Yi Junqing argues that paradigm of study should be the issue of prior concern in Chinese philosophical studies in the New Era,Articles in this special issue offers comments to the status quo of contemporary philosophical studies in China from various perspectives, focusing on problems in this field of study. Professor Yi Junqing argues that paradigm of study should be the issue of prior concern in Chinese philosophical studies in the New Era, and proposes a paradigmatic shift from abstract philosophy of consciousness to philosophy of culture that alms to return to the world of life. Professor Jing Haifeng tries to reiterate the values, significance and reasonability of Confucian ethics by re-analyzing its conceptual categories, dimensions of research topics, development of its ideas, and historical contexts. Profes- sor Feng Ping states that philosophical studies in China should take as its goals improvements of the life of Chinese people and promotion of the development of Chinese society. The fundamental values and mode of thought that shape the life of Chinese people and the development of Chinese society should be included in research topics. Gan Shaoping, Research Fellow of CASS, sees the principle of protection of human rights in Chinese constitution as too general to guide specific actions. It is thus an im-portant topic in deeper theoretic studies of human rights, which is a branch of ethics, to define the boundaries within which human rights principles are applied. From the perspective of philosophy of existence, Professor Yu Wujin points out that the fundamental question for aesthetic studies in current China is "Why do human beings need beauty?" rather than "What is beauty?" and that the mainstream aesthetic needs of people today point to an aesthetics of comedy rather than that of tragedy. Professor Guo Guichun argues that "context" should be taken as the research and paradigm program for a unique philosophy of science in China.
