摘　　要：中国的成人教育是随着新中国的诞生而开始的。1986年,成人高校招生实行统一入学考试制度,是我国成人高等教育发展的必然选择,对促进我国成人高等教育的健康可持续发展起到了十分重要的作用,有着重要的历史地位。成人教育尽管在高等教育快速发展过程中出现了一系列矛盾、困难和问题,但是并不是到了“穷途末路”,只要其进一步明确内涵,准确定位,解决好影响自身发展的问题,仍然会有广阔的发展空间。The Chinese adult education started from the birth of New China. In 1986, the unified system entrance exam in adult enrollment was an inevitable choice of our adult higher education and was very important for the sustainable development of it. Adult higher education will have greater developing space if it has a correct positioning and solves well the problems that affect its development.
