英汉词语非对等文化特征探析

摘　　要：英汉对译中所反映的两种语言词语非对等的文化特征,宏观动态上表现为汉语多短句、重语义、多主动、多具体,英语多长句、重结构、多被动、多抽象;微观静态上汉语称谓词多而整齐、英语少而简单,色彩词和动物词的评价意义不对称的情况较为复杂。两种语言在文化传统、价值取向、评价意义诸方面存在众多差异,在语言教学与对译中都值得注意。This paper discusses the differences between cultural characteristics in non -equivalents of English and Chinese words and expressions based on representative materials in some famous literary works and textbooks. The study lies in macro - dynamic state which analyzes the differences in pragmatic characteristics of the two languages and micro - static state which analyzes the different cultural traditions, cultural tendency and cultural connotations of the two languages with the help of appellation terms, color terms and animal words.
