摘　　要：文章论述了道与道教在中国文化、政治、学理以及民间社会的源起,指出道教不同于一般宗教的特点。道教在我国历史进程中的特殊作用,非其他宗教所能比。This article discusses the reasons for the rise of Tao and Taoism in China＇s cultural, political, academic and civil societies, stressing on those unique religious characteristics of Taoism that distinguish it from other ordinary religions and pointing out that Taoism has played in China＇s historical process a special role that other religions are too far to catch up with.
