摘　　要：隐喻是人们认识世界的工具。隐喻的本质是将所熟悉的认知域概念映射到陌生的认知域里,生成新的概念,借以理解陌生事物。人类自身的身体部位,作为人类最熟悉的事物之一,在构造概念和理解世界的过程中,起着重要作用。本文根据隐喻理论分析和探究了汉语里"脸"所构筑和衍生的隐喻概念。Metaphor is one of the chief means of cognition for mankind. The essence of metaphor is to create new concepts by mapping the familiar concepts onto unfamiliar ones. Human body-one of the most familiar concepts of mankind--plays an important role in constructing the concepts. This article analyses the metaphorical meaning of ＂face＂ expressions according to the Theory of Metaphor.
