[Purpose] To explore the expression of Ezfin and Moesin and its correlation to clinico-pathological profile in gastric carcinoma. [Methods] The expression of Ezrin and Moesin in 50 specimens of gastric careinoma, 25 specimens of gastric epithelial dysplasia and 25 specimens of normal gastric tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry. [Results] ①The positive expression rates of Ezrin in normal gastric tissues, gastric epithelial dysplasia and gastric carcinoma were 28.0%, 36.0% and 86.0% and those were 12.0%, 24.0% and 78.0% respetively. ②The expression of Ezrin was correlated to clinical stage, lymph node metastasis(P〈0.01), but not to differentiation(P〉0.05), the expression of Moesin was correlated to clinical stage, lymph node metastasis and differentiation(P〈0.01). ③ The expression of Ezrin was positively cmTelated to that of Moesin in gastric carcinoma (P〈0.01). [Conclusions] High expression of Ezrin and Moesin is correlated with the clinical stage and lymph node metastasis in gastric carcinoma, combined both detection might be important marker for forecasting metastasis and prognosis in gastric carcinoma examining Ezrin and Moesin.
