摘　　要：词汇是语言的基本要素之一,词汇量的大小直接影响着英语的有效交流和表达。从高职院校英语词汇教学要求与现状出发,回顾了词汇量测评与教学的相关研究与理论背景,设计并完成了对学生英语词汇量的测试,根据测试结果,结合大学英语教学提出了一些加强英语词汇教学的建议和对策。Vocabulary is one of the basic elements in language. The size of vocabulary will greatly influence the effective communication and expression. From the point of English vocabulary teaching requirement and status in quo, this paper looks back the development of vocabulary size and its theoretical background, designs and finishes a survey of students＇ vocabulary size in higher vocational college. Based on the result and analysis, the author proposes some suggestion and countermeasures to strengthen the English vocabulary teaching.
