摘　　要：美国大学的终身聘任制一直是美国教师聘任制的重要内容。文章介绍了终身教职的发展过程、其间出现的问题以及最终产生的终身聘任制后评审制,从而使我国高校教师聘用和改革得到借鉴和启示。Tenure is always one of the most significant systems in American university teacher appointment. This paper introduces briefly its development process,problems it faces and the reason why post-tenure review system appears. We can gain enlightenment on teacher appointment from the practices in America.
