Idioms are some set phrases and expressions, which have come into being gradually in the using of languages. They are the essences of a language with vivid images and colorful meanings. Compared with other words and expressions, idioms are more closely connected with their own cultures. There are immense numbers of idioms in both Chinese and English languages, which carry different national and cultural characteristics and cultural information. So it is very necessary to explore the cultural differences in Chinese and English idioms and their translation methods. It is a new way to flexibly deal with the cultural factors in idioms in order to translate the features of idioms. It will not only enhance our ability to use English but also help to improve our knowledge of western culture.
