摘　　要：通过对美国高校图书馆工作人员文化程度、任职资格的分析,指出了中国图书馆学教育在加强专业教育的同时,应重视对图书馆员的继续教育,提高图书馆员的理论素养和综合技能。Through the analysis on the education background and qualification of the personnel of American University Library, this paper points out that in the same time of strengthening the professional education, Chinese library science education should pay attention to the continuous education of the librarians and improve the theoretical literacy and comprehensive quality of the librarians.
