摘　　要：介绍国内影响较大的英语演讲比赛,分别从定题演讲、演讲稿的写作、即兴演讲、问答环节以及台上技巧的角度,探讨英语演讲比赛的技巧。演讲是实践性很强的语言活动,把它作为英语课堂的补充,能激发学生提高英语水平的兴趣,有助于培养学生的思辨创新能力,提高学生的英语交际能力。Starting from a brief introduction to some important English speaking contests held in China, this paper analyses the skills in different sessions of English speaking contest, namely, prepared speech, impromptu speech, question-and-answer session and the on-stage skills. English public speaking is a practical language activity. The involvement of students in this extracurricular activity will help improve their communicative competence, cultivate their critical ability to think and innovate. h
