从翻译实践看中西民族的审美差异

摘　　要：审美是人类一种复杂而高级的心理活动,并受人类文化的影响。翻译是一门艺术活动,严复提出的"雅原则"(elegance)正含有此意。试图从美学的三个角度即音乐美、形式美和意境美出发,分析中英文互译时体现的美学价值;通过对比原文和译文中所蕴涵的审美特质,探讨中西文化的审美差异,因而进一步了解美学、文化、和翻译之间的相互关系。　Aesthetic value belongs to one of person＇s complicated and advanced psychological activities which are influenced by cultural background.Translation partly belongs to an art activity,therefore,it is possible to detect the aesthetic values from three prospects of the＂elegance＂principle（musical beauty, formal beauty and artistic beauty）.Compared the aesthetic characteristics of the translation version and the original one,some disparities between the Chinese and the Western cultures can be found out so that it is valuable to make further understanding of the relationship among the aesthetics,culture and translation.
