摘　　要：歧义在语言交际中是一种很常见的语言现象,它存在于一切自然语言之中,涉及到语言的诸多方面,其形成的原因也非常复杂。它也是语义学探讨的一个重要内容。英语的歧义现象有时会影响人们的成功交流。本文主要从语音、词汇、语法和语用四个方面分析了英语歧义现象的类型和产生的原因,希望能对英语教学和学习有所帮助。Ambiguity is a common language phenomenon and it exists in all languages. It is involved in all aspects in English language and its causes of formation are abundant. It is also an important study field in semantics. It sometimes makes the communication difficult. In order to give any help in English teaching and studying, this paper illustrates the forms and appeanng reasons of English ambiguity from four aspocts, i.e., phonetics, lexicology, grammar and pragmafics.
