摘　　要：虽然宇文所安已是著名的美国唐诗研究专家，但却很少有人关注《中国文学选集：从先秦到1911》这部体现宇文所安认知中国、认知唐诗思想过程的文本。其实通过对这部中国古代作品的译介文献的“细读”，我们不仅可以窥见宇文所安唐诗研究的途径和方法，领略他的选材和译文的与众不同，他的翻译观念和翻译策略也给我们提供了大有裨益的启示。Stephen Owen is a well known American scholar of Tang poetry, whose An Anthology of Chinese Literature ： Earliest Times to 1911, which reflects the thinking process of his understanding of China and Tang poetry received little attention. Close reading this anthology will disclose the methods and approaches Stephen Owen adopts in studying Tang poetry, the difference of his selection and translation from those made by others, and his conception and strategies of translation, which will greatly benefit us.
