摘　　要：本文追溯meme一词的历史渊源及其核心本质,并且指出,将meme译成"模因"道出了meme的精髓和要义,相对于其它汉语译名来说是比较妥帖的,从而证明语义溯源是检验术语翻译是否准确的有效方法之一。This article traces the origin and core meaning of the term＂ meme＂, showing that ~] is a relatively proper rendition for ＂meme＂, that the process of translating is one of understanding and interpreting, and that etymological tracking, which does have an essential bearing upon terminological translation, is to some extent a dialogue with the author.
