摘　　要：英语在国际交流中发挥着重要作用,英国英语作为世界英语的源头一度成为世界各地英语的标准。但时至今日,英语出现多元化,英国英语的"霸主"地位不复存在。本文从英国国内的因素、国际的变化以及美国英语的流行方面对问题展开论述,进一步剖析出现该结果的原因。English plays an important role in the international communication , and as the source of English, British English has ever been the standard of English around the world. But now, English becomes many - faceted, and British English is not regarded as the sole authority , The writer analyzes this problem from following aspects ： British domestic situation, international factors, and the prevalence of American English.
