摘　　要：中西方悼亡诗多寡不一的深层原因是缘于对待死亡的不同态度。中国人不能超越死亡的恐惧,所以悼亡诗特别多;而西方人对待死亡较洒脱,故悼亡诗相对较少。对死亡的不同态度是由两者的信仰和宗教差异等原因造成的。There are more memorial poems in China than that in the West. The deep-rooted reason is the different attitudes toward death. Chinese people can not go beyond the fear of death, so there are many memorial poems in China. Westerners treat death more freely and easily than Chinese, so they have relatively few memorial poems. The difference of religious belief and culture between China and the West has caused these different attitudes to death.
