试论林语堂翻译文本的选择倾向

摘　　要：译者的文本选择倾向会受到客观和主观两方面因素的影响,前者如译者所处的时代背景、政治、经济、文化关系以及目标读者等因素,后者则包括译者的文化观、历史观、文学观、哲学观、审美观以及他所接受的教育等诸多因素,因此,译者的翻译文本选择倾向往往能体现出鲜明的个性特征。林语堂通过汉英翻译将东方文化传递给西方,其文本选择也受到了主、客观两种因素的影响,带有明显的独特性。分析这些特性及其背后的原因有助于更客观、更全面地认识林氏的翻译。The translator＇s tendency of source text selection is usually affected by both objective and subjective factors, the former includes time, the political, economic and cultural relations, the target readers, etc. , the latter the translator＇ s view of culture, history,literature, philosophy, aesthetics as well as his educational background. Thus, the translator usually has his individual characteristics in the selection of source text. Lin Yutang was affected by both subjective and objective factors when introducing the oriental culture to the West through translation, thus had his characteristics in selecting the source texts. An analysis of these characteristics may help secure a more profound understanding of Lin＇ s translation.
