摘　　要：本文全面回顾19世纪以来音变研究理论以及方法的变迁,在此基础上提出今后音变研究的趋势和方向。Linguistics, as an independent discipline, started from the nineteenth century＇s historical linguistics. The nature and causes of sound change are the fundamental issues of this discipline. This paper focuses on various theories of sound change since the nineteenth century. Based on those discussion, the author proposes possible changes of the theory in the future.
