摘　　要：本文在认知语言学框架内，利用认知语言学中的象似性原则、语法化、原型范畴理论等对英语存在句的生成、发展和意义拓展进行了分析。对英语存在句进行认知解读，不仅拓宽了存在句研究视野，也弄清了存在句的生成和演变的认知理据。The present paper analyses the formation,development and meaning expansion of English existential sentences from the perspective of iconicity, grammaticalization and prototype theory in the frame of cognitive linguistics. Investigating English existential construction from a cognitive view not only expands its research perspective but also makes clear the cognitive motivation of English existential sentences.
