浅议委婉语在交际中的顺应

摘　　要：委婉语是指表示禁忌或敏感事物的含蓄、迂回或动听的言词。它既是一种语言现象,又是一种文化现象。主要从委婉语的定义入手,从顺应论的角度分析了这一语体的避讳功能,[1]礼貌功能及掩饰功能。了解其语用效果对于我们的日常交际可以起到锦上添花的功效。Euphemism refers to the use of some mild, vague and indirect words or phrases in place of what is required by truth or accuracy. It is not only a linguistic but also a cultural phenomenon. From the perspective of adaptation theory, this paper analyzes several functions of euphemisms： ineffable, polite and palliative function, which plays an important role in our daily communication.
