摘　　要：ESP(English for Specific Purposes,特殊用途英语)是重要的一种英语教学分支,本文主要介绍了与之英语相关的需要分析。笔者认为,专业教师应该根据实际情况开展需求分析,以明确课程目标和教学大纲。ESP is a significant branch of English Language Teaching （ELT）., and the present paper is a brief introduction to one of its most important field of research, needs analysis. The author points out that ESP teachers in China should conduct a series of needs analyses before starting the course, as it provides a valuable insight into the way that course objectives and syllabus is to be set up.
