摘　　要：本文首先介绍系统功能语法的语法隐喻理论，进而解释Fawcett怎样运用自己的语言理论对语法隐喻进行质疑。Fawcett认为语法隐喻是一个包含内容过多的、松散的概念，并且认为它只会使问题复杂化；他试图通过对语义层更加详尽的描写，用语法隐喻来解释语言现象。本文认为，Fawcett的质疑和解释虽然不能完全解构语法隐喻，但为审视语法隐喻提供了一个全新的视角。This paper, first,introduces grammatical metaphor and then explains how Fawcett questioned the necessity of the concept of grammatical metaphor. He thought that grammatical metaphor is an ＂umbrella＂ term,which will make ＂thing＂ more complex. Finally,the author thinks that, although he can not deconstruct grammatical metaphor thoroughly,he provides a new perspective to the linguistic phenomena under the term of grammatical metaphor.
