主位推进模式分析在医学英语语篇翻译中的应用

摘　　要：主-述位理论是功能语言学中的一个重要理论分支,而主位推进模式又是其中的一个主要组成部分。从语篇功能的角度,探讨主-述位理论中的主位类型,主位推进的不同模式等,并通过具体的语言素材,对病理介绍、药物说明书和医疗器械广告等不同类型的实用医学英语语篇中的主位推进模式及其在翻译中的作用进行分析,旨在帮助医学英语译者从语篇的角度整体把握译文的质量。Theme and rheme theory is an important theoretical branch and component of functional linguistics. In this essay, various aspects concerning theme and theme theory including the definition and classifications of theme and patterns of thematic progression are studied from the perspective of texual function. It is also stated that theme and rheme theory can be applied in the translation of practical medical English such as disease descriptions, medcine instructions and medical apparatuses advertisement, etc. By using this theory in translation, the translator will consider the text as a whole to produce high - quality version.
