摘　　要：机器翻译质量的评估与机器翻译的发展,二者相辅相成。本文历时地梳理了中外机器翻译的评测方法、步骤以及未来评测发展的趋势。作者结合不久前我国机器翻译评测的个案,介绍评测的标准、方法、语料等,并分析了评测的典型例句、论述了我国机器翻译系统目前的状况。通过对评测中的问题和不足的分析,作者提出了机器翻译改进的具体措施和建议,指出机器翻译发展的艰巨性和长期性。Machine translation evaluation （MTE） grow together with machine translation （MT）. This paper introduces methods, procedures as well as future trends of MTE both at home and abroad, and, based on a case study in China, analyses the criteria, approaches and data materials used in MTE with illustrations. After analysis of the problems, drawbacks and the status quo of MTE in China, the author proposes some specific suggestions for improvement on MTE, which still has a long way to go before it is suitable for practical use.
