摘　　要：语言的运用离不开语境,语境对交际中话语的理解起着关键的作用.本文首先探讨了国内外语言学界对语境概念的界定和语境研究的情况;接着通过举例论述了语境在言语交际中的作用以及语境对言语交际的制约。The application of language can＇ t do without contexts; they play a crucial role in comprehension of discourse in communication. At first, this paper discusses the concept of context and the research made by the domestic and foreign scholars; and then explores with examples its function in verbal communication and analyzes how context confines verbal communication.
