中医英译中文化缺省的补偿策略

摘　　要：中医学医哲交融的特点和东西方文化的多样化、异域性使中医学英译过程中文化缺省的成份随处可见。该文指出翻译过程中将中医语篇中缺省的文化内容进行重构,填补译文读者在理解异域文化时,产生的意义空缺,是提高译文可接受性的有效保障,同时提出了中医英译文化缺省中所需要的补偿策略。The fact that TCM is a science abound with philosophic elements and medical knowledge, together with the diversity and differences in Chinese and Western culture contributes to a great deal cultural default which translators constantly confront in translating TCM into English. This paper insists that compensation for the cultural default in original TCM text so as to help target-language readers get rid of the vacuum of sense caused by culture differences is an efficient way to develop the acceptability of the translated version and consequently to spread TCM into other cultures. And it also provides some strategies of cultural compensation in translating TCM into English.
