摘　　要：论文通过比较分析成长小说的欧洲传统为美国成长小说的发生与发展提供的文学背景,透视了特定历史时期,不同文化心理下的社会道德、伦理秩序、精神环境对人生成长过程的影响。着重分析《麦田里的守望者》主人公的成长经历,透过青少年的复杂心理,揭示出现代人的精神危机。It is from a comparative literature angle that this article aims at making an analysis of how the tradition of initiation stories in Europe pave the way for the emergency and development of American initiation stories. And it makes an in-depth discussion upon the influence on a person during his growth, which was made by the social ethics, moral principles and ideological environment in varied periods and different cultural psychology. The article emphatieally analyzes the growth of the leading character in Catcher in the Rye; through the mixed psychology of the adolescent, it reveals the mental crisis of the modem people, and it questions the American social culture by the growth of the adolescent.
