摘　　要：以威尔兹彼卡为首的波兰语义学派提出的自然语义元语言(NSM)理论是当代语义学中的一种新范式。NSM理论的文化脚本及其研究方法有助于揭示蕴含在复杂语言现象背后的语义共性,表征反映在语言中的文化规约和价值,为跨文化语用学研究提供新的语义学方法。本文首先讨论文化脚本的定义及其性质,重点探讨描写文化脚本的元语言、文化脚本和规约性普遍主义方法的差异、文化脚本的跨文化语用观等几个方面,最后简述了文化脚本研究方法对发展跨文化语用学的意义。The Natural Semantic Metalanguage （NSM） theory, advanced by Anna Wierzbicka, is a new paradigm within contemporary semantics. Cultural Script approach is useful in exploring the semantic universals entailed in complicated language phenomena, and in representing the cultural norms and values which are reflected in language. Thus it provides a semantic approach to the study of cross-cuhural pragmatics. With a critical review of recent research in this area, the paper deals mainly with the following four aspects： 1 ） definition of cultural script and its nature, 2） semantic primes used as metalanguage of cultural scripts, 3） differences between cultural scripts and conventional universalist approaches, and 4） cultural scripts as a semantic approach to the study of cross-cultural pragmatics. It is pointed out that cultural script approach is of practical significance to the development of cross-cultural pragmatics.
