摘　　要：英语歧义是语言本身一种内在的现象,产生歧义的原因很多,在语言的实际运用中表现为语音歧义、词汇歧义和句法歧义。歧义一方面在一定程度上容易使人产生误解,但另一方面正确地理解和恰当地运用英语歧义,可以使我们的语言更加生动、形象。English ambiguity is an inner phenomena of language. It is caused by many reasons. There are totally three kinds of ambiguity, namely phonological, lexieal and syntactic ambiguity. The ambiguity in English language may easily lead to misunderstandings to some extent. On the other hand, the accurate understanding and proper using of ambiguity will enable us to be more vivid.
