摘　　要：对回指的理解，直接影响到读者／听者对话语和语篇的理解。本文简要回顾了回指研究历史。认为从篇章入手才能真正理解回指的实质，重点讨论了回指翻译中的明晰化现象。由于英汉两种语言本身的不同特点，由重“形合”的英语翻译成重“意合”的汉语时，往往采用隐化手段。How to define anaphora influences readers＇ or listeners＇ comprehension of discourse and text. This paper briefly reflects the history of anaphora study, and points out that only through the analysis of anaphora in texts will anaphora be truly understood. The paper discusses on explicitness in the translation of anaphora. Due to the difference between these two languages, when translating English, which stresses hypotaxis, into Chinese which emphasizes parataxis, we usually adopt the method of implicitness.
