摘　　要：我国大学专业英语翻译教学面临着理论匮乏、优质教材缺乏、教师消极无奈和学生浮躁功利等困难。翻译教学的出路在于引进国外新的翻译理论,建立自己的理论体系,编写适合新时期需要的教材,教学双方各履其责,共同进步。Presently, there are many problems existing in translation teaching for English majors in China, such as the lack of the guidance of translation theory, the lack of high quality translation textbooks, teacher＇ s passiveness, students＇ fickleness, etc., Therefore, if we want to improve the quality of translation teaching, we will have to introduce the latest translation theories from abroad,establish ottr own translation theory,compile some textbooks which can keep pace with the new age; reeanwhile, both the teachers and the students should change their attitudes, thus we can make progress.
