摘　　要：中等职业教育是实施西部农村劳动力转移，农村实用人才的培训工程。但是从学生数量规模看，西部地区中等职业教育滞后于东部地区和全国平均水平；滞后于西部地区普通高中的发展；同时在西部省际间发展也不均衡。西部各级政府应该把职业教育作为经济社会发展的重要基础和教育工作的战略重点，采取有效的措施，推动职业教育健康持续发展。Secondary vocational education is the rural laborer＇ shifts ,rural serviceable talent of training project in the western region. However, in secondary vocational education in Western Region, the scale of student＇s quantity lags behind the ones in eastern region and in the average level of the whole china;And the development lags behind the development of high school in the area;Meanwhile the development in different provinces in eastern region remained out of balance. Western governments at all levels should make secondary vocational education as an important economic and social development of foundation, the strategic points of education. To adopt effective measures and promote it develop rapidly.
