摘　　要：多元系统论从超然物外的描述性视角来研究支配翻译活动及其它文化活动的规范。规范有模糊性、多样性,本身就是一个多元系统。一个时期,甚至一个译本,往往有不同的规范在同时运作,这正是多元系统论所预期并且要尝试解释的文化现象。如果我们认为它无法解释,那只是因为我们对它作了简单化的诠释。Polysystem theory looks at norms that govern translational and other cultural activities from a descriptive perspective. Themselves a polysystem, a variety of norms operate simultaneously in a period and even in a single text. This is exactly what the theory predicts and sets out to explain. Only a simplified interpretation would lead to the conclusion that it is unable to do so.
