从注释看译者素质——浅谈张培基《英译中国现代散文选》中的注释

摘　　要：从注释的理论出发,以张培基《英译中国现代散文选》中的注释为实例,着重从语言难点的注释、翻译方法的注释、历史背景文化常识的注释三方面,分析阐述了注释的恰当与否反映译者的素质这一观点,并指出译者应多读书多钻研,以提高自身素质。By employing the note theory and analyzing the notes by Zhang Peiji in Selected Modern Chi- nese Prose Writings, this article explores the relationship between notes and the translator＇s proficiency from three perspectives, namely, the notes of linguistic difficulty, of translation skills and of cultural background, and advances that whether the notes are appropriate or not reflects the translator＇s proficiency, therefore, the translator should do more reading and research to enhance his proficiency.
