摘　　要：稠禅师是有文献可考的少林寺最早武僧,但稠禅师幼年习武与少林寺无关。初祖跋陀从未传教于稠禅师武功,健身自卫是稠禅师发愤习武的主要动因,北朝时期的稠禅师幼年习武是在邺,他是带着一身武艺到的少林寺。The research shows that Buddhist monk Chou was the earliest monk of Wushu according to the historical documents available, but Buddhist momk Chou＇s early learning of Wushu had nothing to do with Shaolin Temple. Buddhist monk ba tuo never taught wushu to monk chou. Keeping fit and protecting tecting himself is the main reason that monk thou practiced wushu hard, Buddhist Chou learnt Wushu in Ye, and he went to Shaolin Temple with his Wushu in North Dynasty.
