摘　　要：语言不仅是人们交际的工具,也是反映社会现象的一面镜子。人们可以透过词语看到社会对妇女的歧视。本文主要运用标记理论来探讨英法词语所反映出的社会对妇女的性别歧视现象。Language is not only a tool for communication, but also a mirror of the society. The prejudice towards women in society can be revealed through vocabulary. This paper mainly discusses gender discrimination in both English and French vocabulary based on the markedness theory.
