摘  要:美国文化具有浓郁的民族气息和自己独特的风格。外语教学既涉及语言又涉及文化,语言与文化相互缠绕,难以分割。在外语教学中我们要注意文化移情,就是使主体自觉地转换文化立场,在交际中有意识地超越本土文化,置身于另一种文化模式中,如实地感受、领悟和理解另一种文化。American culture,different from those of other countries, is of strong ethnical flavottr and unique style. The foreign language teaching relates to both the language itself and its culture, which are overlapping and inseparateable. The cultural empathy should be applied to the English teaching so that the individual can shift his cultural standpoint on his own initiative, be aware of transcending the local culture in the communication, and enter himself into another cultural mode so as to have a better feeling, understanding and learning of another culture.
