摘  要:在英语言语交际中,"自嘲"是一种言语策略,是最高层次的一种幽默,有着非同寻常的效果."自嘲"表面上是嘲弄自己,但实际上却另有所指."自嘲"的动机多种多样,文中对此进行归纳并分析其动机是为了表示自谦、道歉、愧疚、自责、遮羞、遮丑等等.了解和掌握好"自嘲"策略的动机,可以使言语交际更加顺利地进行.In English Speech Communication, "self-mockery" is a kind of strategy. It should bc noted that self-mockery is the highest level of humor and can bring about unusually powerful effects. "Self-mockery" , on the surface, mocks oneself, but in fact it is not so. This paper concludes and analyzes various motivations in "self-mockery" , which are provided for expressing modesty, apology, remorse, self-accusation, hiding one' s shame or covering up one' s embarrassment etc. Understanding and mastering the "self-mockery" strategy, one can make his speech communication more successful.
